★·.·´¯`·.·★ I want to leave this Earth behind ★·.·´¯`·.·★

Following a residency at SAT (Society for Arts and Technology) in Montreal, Stefana Fratila and I will perform our collaborative work for Satosphère 3 - MUTEK x SAT, August 25, 2023.

I want to leave this Earth behind is an immersive A/V live performance, specifically formatted to Satosphère’s multichannel sound system and 360-degree projectors. The show centres on outer space exploration, speculative-fictive realities, and Crip futurity, engaging audiences in an immersive exercise of imagining interplanetary and sci-fantastical atmospheres– conditions which are inherently unlivable, unbreathable, converting all human body-minds into disabled-bodied-ness.

This show combines three overarching works:

"Sononaut VSTs" & "I want to leave this Earth behind" by Fratila and "A Boundless and Radiant Aura" (XR) by VanderMeulen.

★·.·´¯`·.·★ Magic Window Now Available for PC & MAC★·.·´¯`·.·★

A Boundless and Radiant Aura is a meditative 360° digital environment which invites visitors to defy terrestrial logic while navigating the sublunary layers of an Expanded Reality Magic Window Experience. Created with gaming software, this project navigates with simple controls of your mouse or computer trackpad.

Visualized as a floating aura, your player character will lead you on a journey of an unreal ecological worldspace which questions the Earth we inhabit. This is the first chapter in an ongoing series with a specific focus on outer space exploration, alternate planetary realities, and paradisiacal world rendering. This work is in progress, any UX suggestions or notes are greatly appreciated. :)
